Few words can describe Flip with justice, so I am not going to try. Taken from the inside jacket flap:

Your mind will not let go, even then. I am stunned – at what I just now finished reading. It is purely magic to be led down an unfamiliar and unbelievable path, and find one’s self believing to the end.

Yes, it would. There is nothing other than family relationships and sci-fi. I will tell you this, the main character wakes up and has found himself in another teen’s body with his own mind and vice versa. His goal is to return to his own family. No hard language or sexual themes.
