Merry Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas everyone!  Thank you all for the well-wishes this past eve. I am so blessed to have so many literati friends. Santa should be climbing down your chimneys soon. I hope you have remembered to clean the flue. I am taking a very short break, but will return on Thursday, January 2, 2014.

2014!!  Oh, my what a large number. For someone born before 1970, that is a BIG NUMBER.  I hope 2014 is a BIG YEAR for every one of you. For the present moment–oh, presents, I hope you received all you wanted–I wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Extraordinarily Happy New Year.  To help me is another cutie kittie, Fuddles, from A Very Fuddles Christmas, courtesy of the kind and generous author and super illustrator Frans Vischer.

Erik, Happy Birthday. Today you are all of 12!  I believe you asked, “No pictures??? What kind of blog IS this?! I want to see the REAL kitty cats.” (Asked or was that demanding? You had just turned 12, making you a baby-twelve, so demand away, Oh, Great party!). Here you go, Erik. Just for you.

    • /So glad you finally got unwrapped. I learned to use lots and lots pf tape when I was a kid. Baby Girl is a sly one. It is hard to get mad at her. When she knows she is in trouble she rolls onto her back and gives a soft meow. Don’t talk about her – she knows when her name is mentioned and will listen and listen, then talks back. She is a hoot. 🙂

Animal people talk about their pets like they would their kids, but have many more pictures of the pet-kids.

    • We had a quiet Christmas. Is it a bit more rowdy with pups? I’m betting it is. Rhythm trying to rip wrapping off of gifts, not worrying if they are actually his. I can see that fun. Cats are more reserved, unless you add catnip–which my sister did one year and it was a wild week waiting to open gifts. 😀 Merry Christmas to you and your person. 🙂

    • Merry Christmas to you, Paul. This was in the back of his picture book. I asked to use it and he graciously said yes. He is a nice guy and a terrific artist. That is the big payoff for writing these reviews–all the wonderful writers, artists, and publishers I get to meet. 😉

    • I’ll take love and peace every day. Thank you. I wish you the most productive writing year of your career thus far. And a great home life, good friends, happy family, and healthy pets–and hubby. 🙂
